NUSD Grad Miguel Recendez Returns to Inspire the Next Generation of Musicians

Just one note can lead to a beautiful melody. For NUSD graduate and professional musician Miguel Recendez, that journey began in Jeff Galindo’s music class in 2011. Now a member of the Grammy-considered music group LabRats, Recendez recently visited Natomas High School to share his real-world experiences with Galindo’s CTE Music Production class.
His visit inspired the next generation of musicians, including LaShawn, who has long dreamed of a career in music. “He’s an example of someone who followed the dream he had since he was a kid. It’s very inspiring,” LaShawn said.
